Stochastic Decision Making for Spatial Problems

Summary

This project covers decision problems in a spatial, stochastic setting. In this context one could think of e.g. delivery services, shared ride services, or various health-care related services. Typical problems relate to assigning jobs to servers in a spatial setting, route selection and route adaptation (based on real-time information). The project combines, and extends, state-of-the-art techniques from stochastic modelling, optimization and machine learning.
