Maurizio Moreschi obtained his bachelor‘s degree from the University of Padova in September 2015. He got his double master’s degree from the University of Regensburg and Leiden University in August 2018 in the context of the ALGANT master’s program. His master’s thesis, titled “S-parts of values of univariate polynomials and decomposable forms”, was supervised by dr. Jan-Hendrik Evertse and fits, broadly speaking, in the field of Diophantine approximation. Maurizio also obtained the excellence school diploma from the Galilean School of Higher Education (Padova) in November 2018.
Since August 26, 2019, he is employed as PhD candidate at the Korteweg-de Vries institute for mathematics of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Maurizio’s PhD project is titled “Algorithmic and combinatorial aspects of partition functions”, and Maurizio’s daily advisors are dr. Guus Regts and dr. Viresh Patel.
