Federico was born in Siena (Italy), and moved to Padua (Italy) to get both a bachelor's and master's degree, both in Mathematics. During these years he has developed a strong interest in probability theory and all its applications. His master’s thesis, with title “Voter model on k-partite graphs. Asymptotic behavior conditional on non-absorption”, concerns the analysis of the limit behavior of the quasi-stationary distributions for the voter model on k-partite graphs, as the size of one of the sets tends to infinity. The main aspects of this work regard the duality between the voter model and the coalescing random walks, and the spectral analysis of the semi-group of the process.

Federico starts his PhD program in Leiden in September 2021.
