Roshan Mahes received his bachelor's and master's degree in Mathematics (2021) at the University of Amsterdam. His master's thesis concerns optimal appointment schedules that can be repeatedly updated. In March 2021, he began his PhD project to improve the work done in this field under the supervision of Michel Mandjes and Marc Salomon.
