Gianluca is from Gütersloh, Germany. He did his BSc mathematical economics and his MSc mathematics at Bielefeld University, finishing in October 2018 and 2020 respectively. During his studies he was especially interested in probability theory and partial differential equations. From March 2021 on he works as a PhD student at TU/e on the interdisciplinary project “Modeling, Analysis, and Training of Optical Neural Networks across Photon Density Regimes” supervised by dr. Patty Stabile of the Electrical Engineering department and dr. Jaron Sanders of the M&SC department.
