Award for PhD Thesis Fiona Sloothaak
On January 16th Fiona Sloothaak succesfully defended her PhD thesis entitled 'Criticality in Power Networks: A Probabilistic Approach'.
In recognition of the superb quality of this thesis Fiona received the 2020 Applied Probability Trust Prize. The Trust Prize is a highly selective honor awarded to young researchers for excellent scientific achievements. Earlier recipients at TU/e include Bert Zwart (2001), Rene Bekker (2005) and Alessandro Zocca (2015).
