PhD Defense Aleksandar Markovic
On February 5th Aleksandar Markovic will defend his PhD thesis entitled 'Dynamic range and frequency assignment problems'.
Aleksandar's promotor is Mark de Berg.
The PhD defense will take place in the Senaatszaal of the Auditorium building at the Eindhoven University of Technology and will start at 16:00 hrs.
Abstract
In wireless networks, devices send signals to communicate between each other. Two problems then arise.
- What range to assign to the devices in order to ensure a connected network while minimising the power cost associated to the range assignment?
- What frequency to assign to each device in order to avoid interference in areas where multiple ranges overlap?
Aleksandar studies these two problems in a dynamic setting, where the devices appear, disappear, or move over time.
