Stochastic Models in Life Science
From 4 - 7 September 2023 the conference "Stochastic Models in Life Science" will take place in EURANDOM at Eindhoven University of Technology. The aim of this four days bilateral conference is to discuss recent developments at the interface between probability theory and the life sciences. Probabilistic models are instrumental in the understanding and mathematical description of many biological processes.
Description
In this workshop we aim at highlighting specifically the following themes: Stochastic models
of population dynamics; Quantitative developmental biology; Stochastic models in neuro-science, with the participation of related main speakers, colleagues, doctoral and postdoctoral students. These topics have been the subject of intense research in France and the Netherlands in recent years, and the presentations will be given by world-renowned specialists mostly based there or from Germany.
During these four days, some specific slots will be booked for doctoral and postdoctoral students from France and The Netherlands, and a few financial supports could be available for them. Students interested to participate are encouraged to contact the organizers.
