DDQC 2021: Data-Driven Queueing Challenges

On 21-23 September NETWORKS organises DDQC 2021 in collaboration with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Mathematical & Statistical Frontiers (ACEMS) and the Alan Turing Institute. This workshop will bring together researchers with backgrounds in statistics, stochastic modelling, data science and control to discuss contemporary queueing theory challenges.

The increasing availability of empirical data in the operation of large computer networks and in the management of human service systems is creating new opportunities for study in queueing theory. The objective is to highlight and discuss future directions in data-driven queueing that arise in modelling, monitoring and controlling queues, and in dealing with parameter uncertainty, when there is access to operational data. The workshop sessions span international time zones so that parts of the workshop will be scheduled at times convenient to multiple audiences.

Speakers

Talks will be given by Mor Armony, Azam Asanjarani, Adelle Coster, Jim Dai, Peter Glynn, Mor Harchol-Balter, Shane Henderson, Ramesh Johari, Avishai Mandelbaum, Michel Mandjes, Liron Ravner, Darryl Veitch, Neil Walton, Cornelia Wichelhaus, Galit Yom-Tov and Martin Zubeldia.
