Simone Baldassarri received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Florence and the University of Aix-Marseille in December 2023 as part of a joint program, under the supervision of Gianmarco Bet, Alexandre Gaudillière and Francesca R. Nardi. His thesis focused on the metastable behaviour of discrete systems to describe phase transitions in statistical mechanics and the spread of an opinion in a network, as well as on the analysis of the asymptotic properties of evolving random graphs.

Simone Baldassarri joined the NETWORKS program in January 2024 as a postdoctoral researcher under the joint supervision of Frank den Hollander and Michel Mandjes. His current research focuses on the study of dynamic processes on dynamic random graphs. He is broadly interested in the analysis of interacting particle systems and their applications to mathematical physics and sociology.

This position has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement Grant Agreement No 101034253.
